Founded by Mr. S. A. Kochar, a graduate in Commerce from the University of Mumbai, Law Graduate from Government Law College, Bombay and Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, the firm had a modest beginning. It ventured forth with a business agenda that serviced clients with a portfolio of accounting and assurance services. The firm, even in its formative years had a very clear work ethos – deliver to every client an exemplary and high standard of service.

It strove hard to achieve a perfect balance between the word of advice and the quality of solutions offered. This passionate focus on client service fostered long-term business relationships, which were vital to growth.

With Mr. Piyush S. Kochar the elder son, joining the firm in 1999 and soon followed by the younger son Mr. Pranay S. Kochar in 2006, the firm added to its traditional offering the edge of new age services.

It now has the knowledge and resources to deliver a broad spectrum of quality services to national and international clients.

Today, Kochar & Associates is an independent, medium sized firm of chartered accountants and tax advisers.

Led by a team of 9 Partners , 3 Chartered Accountants an assisted by a Staff strength of 75, plus a team of associates, Kochar & Associates is renowned for its expertise in the areas of statutory audits, management audits, tax and corporate law compliance and advisory services, accounting services, etc.

Blending the experience of a large organisation with the approachability of a smaller personal advisor it works alongside clients as a confidante who genuinely cares, understands and competently assists with compliance of Government regulations and also advises on how to minimise tax costs.
